Concidering buying an Evatech Custom Desktop PC but want to know more before you commit?

Below are a list of the most commonly asked questions we get from customers and list of answers. If you have any questions we missed, please let us know by emailing the question to sales@evatech.com.au

These custom PCs come fully assembled right? If so, is the operating system and software installed too?

  • Yes, all Evatech custom computers come fully assembled.
  • Yes, where selected, operating systems are installed along with drivers.
  • No, antivirus software and office suit software is provided on discs and is not installed by Evatech as per the publishers terms of service requirements.

How long will it take for me to receive my new custom PC if order today?

Assembly, setup and burn in testing typically takes 5-10 business days from payment clearing (unless an express option is selected). PayPal and Credit Card payments typically clear instantly; bank transfer payments can take up to 48 hours. Shipping times vary depending on delivery destination.

  • Melbourne / Geelong : 1-2 Business Days
  • Canberra / Adelaide / Sydney : 2-3 Business Days
  • Hobart / Launceston / Newcastle / Central Coast : 3-5 Business Days
  • Coffs Harbor / Gold Coast / Brisbane / Sunshine Coast : 3 – 7 Business Days
  • Perth / Darwin / Cairns : 5 – 10 business days

Do you do any cable management when building these PCs?

We do the best the case and components allow, some cases are great for cable management, others are not so great. Regardless, we take the time and care to manage the cabling as best as possible, even when there are no windows to see inside the case.

How exactly do you pack the PC? Is the package insured?

All PCs are carefully packaged in polystyrene, inside a box, wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and then wrapped again in black packing roll before being marked clearly on all sides of the parcel with bright red 'FRAGILE' labeling. The black packing roll is an anti-theft measure to ensure no one handling the parcel knows the value of the contents. On top of all this, every parcel is insured up to $3,000 against damage or loss at no extra charge. Additional insurance on high value systems can be arranged by emailing support@evatech.com.au.

We also offer the option of placing a foam mold on the inside of the case to protect the video card and large CPU coolers for any 'shock damage' during transit. This highly recommended option for all interstate or rural customers is available for selection during PC customising.

So what sort of warranty do I get with my Evatech custom PC?

  • Should a fault be identified within the first 12 months, you can return the entire PC to us for remedy.
  • Should a fault be identified after the first 12 months, we will ask you to return the faulty component only to us for replacement should it still be under manufacturer warranty.

Typical warranty length by component type:

  • CPU: 3 Years
  • Motherboard: 3 Years
  • RAM: 5 Years
  • Video Card: 2 Years
  • Case: 2 years
  • Hard Drive: 2 Years
  • SSD: 3 Years
  • Power Supply: 3 Years

For full terms and conditions of our warranty service please check our terms of service page linked at the top right hand corner of every page. For exact component warranty terms and lengths, see manufacturers website.

Do you have any examples of systems you've build for other customers?

Yes, we publish 'Build Logs' on our news blog regularly. There you can find the components, the price and photos of a selection of systems we have assembled. To find our build logs simply visit news.evatech.com.au

So why should I choose Evatech?

We are confident that we offer the best value for money when it comes to the quality of our product, service and support. Our prices are constantly reviewed to make them as completive as possible, we don't try to up sell you at every turn and we don't nickel and dime you with any additional charges.

We believe the quality of our products and services sell themselves, our sales staff are trained professionals in PC hardware and offer genuine recommendations, not just pushing you to spend more money. In fact one of the most common recommendations we make to customers is where they can save money on their custom systems without compromising performance.

We install only the operating system, drivers and software you request and nothing more. That means no sponsored 'bloatware' to bog down your system, offering useless features or trying to get you to pay to upgrade from the free version.
