Here at Evatech we do things a little differently. Instead of a dull cubicle farm where everyone comes in, sits down and does the same repetitive tasks day in and day out, we run a small tight nit team, each specializing in their roll but all contributing to a common goal. If you’re the kind of guy (or gal) who dreads coming in to work on Mondays, shows up late and leaves early and puts in the bare minimum of effort, this is not the role for you.

That means everyone should be able to chip in and help out any department who needs it, from warranty, to sales, assemblies & testing, picking, packing, purchasing and even marketing and product management.

That also so means that being able to work effectively in a team but you need the ability to operate independently, manage your time and take responsibility for your output.

Of course, we’ll provide all the necessary training and guidance every step of the way, but we also need something from you that can’t be taught. Dedication, hunger for success and willingness to go the extra mile to invest in becoming part of Evatech and its success long term.

Any successful candidate will be asked to complete a 3-month paid probationary period to asses suitability and give you time to learn and demonstrate your abilities.

The Role - Evatech

Ultimately, we’re looking for a passion for PC hardware, talent, initiative, work-ethic and a willingness to learn. The rest can be taught and roles can adapt as each team member’s best skills are identified and put to best use.

Of course, building custom PCs to order is what we do and we do it well. Knowing how to build, setup, test and service PCs to a high standard is a must. We also maintain a large catalog of PC hardware and peripherals, a job that requires constant and ongoing maintained as pricing and availability is constantly changing.

Customer service is essential. Professional presentation, manner, tone, choice of words and a willingness to deal with customers of all knowledge levels is a must. A strong understanding of the products we offer and the ability to walk customers through ordering or troubleshooting a PC in store or over the phone is again an essential skill for all team members.

Operating largely as e-commerce store, the majority of our orders and shipped out by courier. Often being high value, large, fragile and heavy, packing these items securely is an extremely important part of what we do and one that can take a reasonable amount of physical fitness.


Negotiable depending on experience with encouragement for teamwork, work-ethic and performance via generous team bonuses when goals are achieved.


This role will be available from our Oakleigh South offices at 1/382 Huntingdale Road, VIC 3176. Appoximately 20 minutes south east of the CBD. Please do not apply if distance from this location is an issue.


  • Over 18 years of age and with a true passion for PC hardware, not just PC gaming (although that’s a bonus too!)
  • Strong English language skills, both verbal and written. (Additional languages are a bonus!)
  • Current & valid driver’s license and own means of transport. (We’re located walking distance from Huntingdale train station but dependence on public transport is not ideal and in years to come we may move)
  • Available full time Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm OR part time for at least 3 full days per week.
  • Self-motivated and strong work-ethic.
  • Willingness to listen, learn and contribute.
  • Bonus points for similar previous professional experience or PHP/SQL/HTML/JS/CSS skills.
  • Ideally currently studying or have completed a TAFE or UNIVERSITY course in any of the following fields
    • Computer Science
    • Software Engineering
    • Business Information Systems
    • Sales & Marketing
    • Design
