Once I place an order, how long until it's ready?

Published 25th Jun 2022, updated 17th Jan 2024 - 3 minute read

We don't always keep all the thousands of products we have available for purchase on our website in stock at our collection facility, so it may take anywhere between a few minutes to 1-2 business days for your order to be ready for click & collect, or for courier dispatch depending on what you opted for during checkout.

Please note that payments and orders are only processed during non-public holidays/store closures and only during business hours: Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm.

Orders placed during weekends or holidays may take longer to process due to the increased volume, but we've never forgotten an order, so patience will pay off!

I ordered a PC; how long does that take?

There are a few variables that can impact how long a PC order will take to process before it's ready to go out.

Pre-built PCs, or fully built PCs advertised as being in stock are generally already finished: tested, with the operating system installed. Even still, we still have our technicians plug it in one last time to do a quick re-check (and activate Windows) before it gets boxed up and prepared to go out, so this can still take between 20 minutes or a few hours depending on the other happenings. If you also ordered other parts, such as a keyboard, monitor, etc. getting these items to our facility may be what's holding up dispatch.

Custom PCs, whether home/office, workstation, or gaming: can vary a bit more. Custom PCs without an express service are generally ready to go within 5-7 business days. Opting for an express service by selecting either Jump the Queue or Need it NOW! during PC customisation lets us know that you prefer it sooner, and we'll do our very best to get it ready within the timeframe stated by JTQ or NIN, or as always: sooner if at all possible!

Additionally, Custom PCs can sometimes have one or more components marked as special order, pre-order, or with an ETA date. PCs with these won't be able to begin assembly/testing until all items are in stock, so these selections are likely to alter the timeframes mentioned just above.

I ordered just a single product; how long will it be?

If it's an item we stock at our dispatch warehouse/office, then it should be between a matter of minutes or within a few hours (during business hours). If it's something at another warehouse or with one of our local suppliers, it might be later in the day or next business day. Because we mostly fulfil PC orders, the small lead time on products usually doesn't impact PC orders which is why we still utilise this method.

I ordered two (or more) products; what's the wait time?

We may well have one of the products in stock and ready for near immediate dispatch, but the other item(s) may be at another location or one of our local suppliers. We'll need to wait until they're all together until we can dispatch the order.

Does paying for an express courier option speed up order processing?

While all the staff processing your order can see what shipping option you selected, it isn't necessarily going to speed up how our staff are able to handle your order. It may mean that we opt to pack/ship your order ahead of another if time is limited before the courier cut-off for the day, but often the only thing that would be sped up is the courier handling portion itself.
