Screenshots posted on popular Chinese hardware forum ChipHell has shown a 3dMark 11 X score of X8121 reportedly achieved with a single R9 3 series card paired with a i7 4790K @ 4.0GHz.<\/p>\n

Compare this to the results of a GTX 980 in the same test with the same CPU and the results are around X6850<\/a>. That means if the leaked benchmarks are to believed, a 15% + performance difference.<\/p>\n

Just to re-iterate, we are not sure\u00a0if the leaked screenshot is real, although ChipHell has a good track record in the past for leaking details of new hardware that eventually was proven to be true. We also don’t know if the clock speeds that R9 300 card was running was stock or overclocked, nor do we know how much this particular card is going to cost when it eventually comes out.<\/p>\n

All we know at this point is it’s pretty likely something is on the way that outperforms a GTX980 and that means more competition which is great for consumers!\u00a0Stay tuned to Evatech for information as it becomes available.<\/p>\n
