<\/p>\nHosted at the Qudos Bank Arena, the Intel Extreme Masters took place this weekend in Sydney with a $200,000 prize pool that saw 8\u00a0international teams battle it out over 19 rounds in Counter Strike : Global Offensive (CS:GO).<\/p>\n
Not only was it the first e-sports stadium event in Sydney, but the first to take place in Australia and with a stellar turn out, the first of many.<\/p>\n

With the grand final taking place on Sunday, SK Gaming faced off against Faze Clan with the first to 3 taking home the trophy.<\/p>\n
In the end, Faze managed to take one of the four rounds with a narrow victory in Inferno but the SK Gaming was simply too good, taking the other three rounds convincingly to walk away as the Sydney EIM 2017 champions.<\/p>\n
