Evatech Custom PCs are Lay-By friendly!
A while ago for a short time, we accepted payment-plan/lay-by type of purchases, available only through email request, it wasn’t a very smooth process, so we decided to stop offering it.
For the last few months, every week and every day we would receive multiple requests from would-be customers asking if they can purchase a custom PC from us on a payment-plan or lay-by system, and due to management’s decision not to offer it any more, we had to say no.
After a bit of development we’re now able to officially offer our lay-by system, which is a lot more fluid and user-friendly for both customers and staff than we could ever have imagined. I also imagine that once a few lay-by orders come in and are completed, it will continue to get better and better as we iron out little issues. As it stands though, the system is very polished and complete, as you’d expect from us.
Right now, to make a lay-by order, all you have to do is customise a PC the way you want it and click “Save & Continue”, add the PC to your cart (along with any other accessories/peripherals) and after signing up, on the checkout page one of the payment methods offered will be “Lay-by”. There are a few conditions and terms to agree to before finalising everything, then once you’ve read them and click submit the order is placed, and you’ll need to make the minimum deposit amount (stated during checkout) to start the lay-by term of 30 days.
For the time being, lay-by is limited to orders containing a custom PC. We don’t intend on extending it to any/every product at this stage.
A lay-by order does not have any surcharges placed on it. We hope that by doing this that more people can become PC gamers!
To get started, simply pick which system you would like as a base; gaming PC, home & office PC, or workstation PC and then customise it to your liking, the rest should be self explanatory.
We’ve just finished updating the website to let customers know about all the payment methods that are available for Custom PCs – hopefully we can convert more and more people to gaming PCs with this approach!
Shortly after we receive each payment for the lay-by order and staff assign it to your order, customers will get an email with a summary of each payment so far, the total paid so far, the order total, how much is remaining, how much longer you have to pay it off.
We’re excited about this functionality and what it means for people who have shown interest in this payment method in the past. If you have any suggestions or questions for us, whether you’re a customer or not, we’re always listening!
