    GTA V PC’s Day 1 5GB Patch, Bummer for Aussie Gamers With Poor Internet.

    Crappy internet or unreasonably low data caps? Pre-ordered or planning to buy the physical copy of GTA V on PC to avoid the 60GB download? Well it’s a great idea in theory but in practice, you still need to download about 5GB in a day 1 patch as soon as you have finished the almost 2 hour ordeal of installing the game from the 7 DVD’s it came on.

    Being some of the lucky few with reasonable download speeds in Australia, it only took us 35 minutes to download, but spare a though for the tens of thousands of Aussie gamers on sub par ADSL connectors.

    On a 1 megabit connection your looking at 12 hours of patch downloading! So buyer beware, it’s still a lot better than the 72 hours it would take to download the entire thing via Steam, but make sure you have enough data left on your bandwidth cap!
