    Rockstargames.com’s NewsWire blog today disappointed PC gamers world wide when they announced Grand Theft Auto V for PC has been delayed from January 27th to March 24th.     California based Turtle Rock Studios, the makers of Left For Dead and Counter Strike has published the minimum and recommended hardware requirements for their upcoming 4 v 1 monster hunting first person shooter, Evolve.

    Update : MSI Gaming edition cards are the first to get an street date of 22/01. They have also listed a “suggested retail price” of $399 AUD but we pretty safely expect street prices well below this on release date. MSI says the TI edition of the GTX 960 is due ‘early February’ with no SRP details just yet. Will will update this post with any news we hear from other vendors in the meantime.

    In an interview with Alt-Tab, Rockstar games has told us that the team that handled the Max Payne 3 port to PC is the same team tasked with bringing GTA V to PC in January. Max Payne 3’s PC edition was arguably the best version of the game and great PC port with no performance issues or major bugs and top notch optimized menu’s, controls and textures to make full use of the strengths of the PC platform.     Stock Shortage : AMD R9 280x and R9 290s (Possible Refresh Coming!)

    Stock of all the R9 280x and R9 290 and quickly disappearing at all the major Australian distributors and re-sellers. Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire and XFX distributors are all out of stock of these particular SKUs, with some completely removing the SKU from their catalogs.

    With a rumor (now confirmed) that 8GB versions of the R9 290X was due in the coming weeks, we are guessing the R9 280x and 290 will be getting some sort of refresh also. With no known replacement on the horizon for these disappearing cards it’s unlikely they have been completely discontinued. Industry & enthusiast forums speculate the refresh will replace the current Tahiti GPUs with TONGA based GPUs. (more…)
