Grand Theft Auto V for PC gets 4K support and a First Person view.
In an interview with IGN, Rob Nelson, the animation director on GTA 5 at Rockstar Games calls the new first person perspective mode in the upcoming ‘Next-Gen’ editions of GTA5 “Intense, in-your-face experience… literally”.
While the first person mode will also be on PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, only PC will get 4K support while PS4 and Xbox One are stuck at 1080P locked at 30fps.

Lords of the Fallen on PC Shows Off Nvidia GameWorks Technology
In a two minute youtube video posted on Nvidia’s official account page, the upcoming PC title ‘Lords of the Fallen’ shows off GameWorks, the proprietary visual effects suite provided to the developer by Nvidia.
Heralded as ‘Dark Souls taken to the next level’ by game-debate.com, Lords of the Fallen is a action RPG coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Volumetric lighting, turbulence, particle and cloth effects have all been built upon the GameWorks infrastructure and look impressive even in this compressed youtube video. (more…)

GTA V gets next gen exclusive content for PC release.
Rockstar has announced a slew of added content for the upcoming PC release of Grand Theft Auto V including side missions, weapons, vehicles, races and challenges. There will be a hatchet melee weapon along side sci-fi style rail gun, new monster trucks, planes and blimps and a murder mystery side mission for Michael. PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game land November 18th while PC players will have to wait until January 27th to get their hands on a copy. The good news is, unlike GTA4 on PC, there should be no Games For Windows Live integration (fingers crossed)!

Battlefield Hardline for PC gets a release date.
Today EA announced it’s next installment in the Battlefield franchise will hit stores March 17th in the US and March 19th in Europe (and probably Australia). The game was originally scheduled for release this year but was delayed shortly after it’s limited beta release, likely to implement feedback and improvements (we hope).
Hardline is slated for release on both current and last gen consoles along with PC and has a twist on the traditional battlefield gameplay, this time focusing not on war but PayDay style heists with cops and robbers taking the place of nations armies. (more…)
