Why I was inspired to sell my PC? It’s mainly the graphics card in this build – the MSI and ASUS versions of the GTX 970 and GTX 980 card have an awesome feature where the fans will not spin until the card reaches a certain temperature, I believe it’s 60-65°C. This is excellent for reducing noise when you’re likely just web browsing, reading or working on documents, allowing you to focus completely. It’s also great for reducing wear and tear of the fans, and helps to reduce dust build up on the heatsink. Although, during stress testing, the fans started up and were barely audible over the sound of the rest of the system anyway, so we doubt you’ll even notice when they spin or stop spinning.
