We get a few enquiries a month from our interstate customers pertaining specifically to how PCs are packaged , we are able to easily put their minds at ease after pointing them towards our special packaging foam, combined with the PC going back into the case box it came in, wrapped in bubble wrap and a black cling wrap. We’ll go into further detail on those methods in this post.
Regardless of where your PC is going, it will be placed back inside the box it came to us in, with the styrofoam to support and protect it from minor vibrations or drops. Whether you pick it up in store or get it shipped interstate, that’s our standard procedure.
To add to that, when shipping anywhere at all, we will wrap the case box in bubble wrap and also a black cling wrap (to deter theft). There is also insurance automatically added to all of our packages, should there be any issue with the package our customers receive they are advised in advance to inspect packaging for signs of damage and in fact that it is the entire contents of what they should receive, if there is damage or they believe it is not the entire contents, report it to the delivery person as signing for goods accepts they are in good and working condition, making it near impossible for us to claim insurance.
For our interstate customers, or those with a large CPU cooler or graphics card(s), or just for peace of mind, we’ve always suggested our internal packaging foam, which is basically a cool little chemical reaction that causes liquid to react and expand into bubbly material which takes the shape of whatever it’s surrounded by. This makes it incredibly easy for us to mould to the shape of the case and any components inside the case, once the reaction has cooled down and hardened, it makes it very difficult for any of the hardware to move, should the package be subjected to rough handling. To date, we cannot recall a single customer who has had this foam and suffered from any damages due to shipping – for the small price of $10, we consider it one of the most important investment you could make to your custom PC. Once the PC is received and is taken out of the box, customers are advised to undo the side panel, giving them access to the foam, removing the foam and then replacing the side panel and finally; enjoying their PC as usual.
We believe that the packaging foam is the most crucial aspect to protecting your expensive and newest purchase when it comes to shipping, which is why we’ve priced it to be as affordable as it is.
We’ve found that this is the best way to keep customers and our PCs both happy and running smoothly. Instead of dealing with disgruntled customers and charging them for replacement hardware we can serve more customers and our customers can continue doing what they love; gaming.
