Most popular Game

While less than half of our customers actually tailored their custom PC to suit the hardware requirements of a specific game using our game database, those who did chose the following; (link)

  1.  Grand Theft Auto V
  2.  Witcher 3
  3.  Elite Dangerous
  4.  Far Cry 4
  5.  Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

Summary

TLDR;? It seems like the biggest spenders on average are the Canberra while the lowest average budget goes to Adelaide. Every single city on list prefers a different chassis, and only Melbourne stuck with Windows 7 for as the favorite while all the other major cities went with Windows 8.1. Canberra & Sydney gamers prefer liquid CPU coolers and only in Adelaide did gamers stick with the tried and true Intel stock CPU cooler for the majority of custom PC builds.

PS : Least Favorites

Favorites are all well and good but what were the least favorites? Well instead of breaking them down by city here’s a quick look at the least selected hardware components from all our customers Australia Wide. Bare in mind these only include the options we list in our custom gaming PCs, not every single possible component we sell separately.

  • GPU : GTX 750 TI
  • CPU : i3 4170
  • Motherboard : H97 Chipset
  • RAM : 32GB Dual Channel Blue
  • Chassis : Bitfenix Pandora Silver Windowed with Icon Display
  • Primary Hard Drive : 3TB Enterprise 7200RPM
  • Power Supply : 850W 80 Plus Silver Modular
  • Operating System : Windows 8.1 Pro
  • CPU Cooler : Corsair Hydro H75
  • Optical Drive : BluRay External USB Writer

Yes, that’s right, we sold more Titan’s than GTX 750 TI’s! Aside from that, all the others were far less surprising. Keep in mind just because they are the least favorite in terms of sales doesn’t make them bad, or not the right choice for your next custom PC.
