1 Year - Bleeding Edge Upgrade Plan

There is no limit to the number of components you can upgrade from the list above, however you can only return your system to be upgraded once in our one year plan, and twice within the two or three year plans.


   OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER   

This program might not be for everyone. For most people, going two years without a major upgrade will be perfectly fine. However, who knows what the future may bring? Buying a whole new PC just get your hands on the latest and greatest hardware can be very expensive. This option is here for the hardcore enthusiasts or professionals who want to keep their options open in case they feel the need to make the leap to the next-gen cutting edge hardware a little further down the line without breaking the bank.

This program will also cover free return delivery after the upgrades are complete however any costs of returning the PC prior to upgrade to us will be at the customers own cost. Note that the original packaging must be kept and used to return the PC to protect it against any possible damage in transit and we strongly recommend insuring the parcel for its full value. We can only assume liability for the PC’s safety after it has arrived at our facility.

Locals are more than welcome to drop it back to our store in person and arrange upgrades over the counter.

   WHY DOES IT COST MONEY UP FRONT?   

On top of the internal logistical costs of offering a program like this, it covers the free labor of any future upgrades, the free after-upgrade return shipping to anywhere in Australia and the time involved with the pre-upgrade consulting process as we work with you to assess your current PC and your upgrade options. We could offer it across the board to all our customers but then we would have to bake in the cost of doing so to all our systems which would be unfair to the majority of customers who have no intention of needing or using it. We’ve kept the cost as low as possible and this will always be an optional program. Please consider if it’s right for you prior to purchase.

   WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE OLD HARDWARE?   

If you choose to trade it in for credit against your new upgraded components it will be taken by our product team who will find it a new home with a re-seller partner who specialises in refurbished PC hardware to make sure it doesn't go to waste. We will never use any old traded in refurbished or used hardware in our brand new custom PCs under any circumstances. If our team do choose use any components that have been returned to us and are not brand new to sell either individually or as part of a full PC it will very clearly advertised, heavily discounted, thoroughly burn in tested and covered by warranty.

If you decide the market value offer is to low or you simply want to keep and re-use the hardware elsewhere you are very much welcome to do so! We will do our best to offer a fair value trade in credit for any hardware but we understand due to the need to test, refurbish, cover with warranty at our own risk then negotiate a bulk sale price to a third party buyer, you may be able to find a higher price attempting to re-sell it on your own or simply get more value out of it passing it on to another PC. It will still be fully covered by the manufacturer’s warranty for the full term from the date of purchase and we will even remove it for you and ship it back to you with the system free of charge.

   SO WHATS IN IT FOR EVATECH?   

The amount we charge for this service really is only to cover the costs of the offering it and if we find the costs to be lower than we anticipated we will lower the price of this service to reflect it. What we aim to do with this program is encourage you to place an order sooner rather than later! You get the added benefit of enjoying your new PC sooner and we lock in a sale, it's a win-win in our book. 

We don't expect to make a lot of margin on the resale of the used hardware any one trades in, we only aim to cover our labor costs of doing so and offset our risk of covering any warranties that go beyond the manufacturers. This is not a service program we encourage everyone to buy, please consider all the information provided on this page before purchasing and contact us prior to purchase if you require further clarification.

   ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS   

* Market value will be assessed by the average cost of the same or closest matching component in a similar condition on the second-hand market minus the overhead labour and logistics cost involved with re-selling and covering it with fair warranty as per Australian ACCC law. Customers can request a market value price on any component they are considering to trade in prior to doing so and can choose if they wish, to keep the old components instead of trading them in after the upgrade. There is zero obligation for the customer to trade in old components to take advantage of the upgrade program.

Physical damage to any component of the system will prevent us from accepting a warranty return or trade in credit for said component. This service is not refundable after the first 30 days. Requests for upgrades after the 1 year period will be handled on a case by case basis subject to availability and logistics. After the 1 year period we cannot offer a trade in credit on any replaced components. We cannot accept trade in credit on ANY hardware that was not originally purchased with the PC from EVATECH at the time of purchasing this service plan. The manufacturers stated warranty per component is always valid for the full stated term from the date of purchase of that particular component even if the system warranty has ended.

The trade in value cannot exceed that of the selected upgrade components (no cash or credit not for future purchases can be provided for trade ins). Full trade in credit must be used at the time of issue against the components that will be replacing them. Replacement components can only be selected from our catalog and must be compatible with the remaining hardware, you cannot provide your own replacement components sourced elsewhere. The system as a whole cannot be returned for credit, only the components matching the categories listed above and only when a direct upgrade replacement is being purchased to replace them.

Items marked as 'special order' at time of purchase may not be eligible for trade in. These will be assessed on a case by case basis subject to their second-hand market viability at the time.
